What should I tell the doctor?
List the treatment you currently use, following your own existing prescription information. Include relevant medical history, allergies, any recent changes and concerns about your treatment. Do not leave out a new symptom just because your main aim is a repeat prescription.
If you have monitoring records or recent results from your care, provide the actual information and dates. If you do not have results available, say so rather than guessing. The doctor decides what additional information is needed.
Does a stable treatment history mean automatic eligibility?
No. Every request is independently assessed by a registered South African medical doctor. The doctor may request monitoring information, further assessment or an in-person visit. The medicines used or the length of time you have taken them do not establish approval on their own.
What if I want to change my treatment?
A repeat request is not a way to choose a different medicine or dose. Use the R320 online consultation for a new concern or a fuller assessment where online care is suitable. All treatment decisions remain with the doctor.
This page provides service information only. It contains no glucose targets, medicine recommendations or instructions to adjust a dose.
What should I check before submitting?
- Your current treatment details match the information you actually have.
- Changes, symptoms and questions are described accurately.
- The correct pharmacy branch is selected.
- You personally read the declaration and submit the request.
Approved prescriptions go directly to your selected pharmacy. Submission and payment do not guarantee a prescription. Do not wait for an online response if urgent treatment is needed.
